"Thomas Paine in Lewes 1768-1774 A Prelude to American Independence"
Paul is currently undertaking a DPhil course in Intellectual History at the University of Sussex and has initiated the "The Thomas Paine Project" at the University of Sussex.
The aims of the project are to disseminate the research knowledge to all state schools in the UK in secondary schools. This has been initiated at the Priory School in Lewes and is at the early stage of development.
To create a teaching course for undergraduates in American Universities, this is just about to start with Rutgers University.

This is a new project, we have raised £6800 to date, this has financed two years of research, the digitisation of the "Sussex Weekly Advertiser or Lewes Journal" and the start of the education modules. We are seeking £100,000 in total to achieve all of the above.
